Umrah packages built around meaning, not logistics
Our Umrah packages start from a simple idea: Umrah is, at its heart, an act of worship — and the arrangements around it should serve that, not distract from it. Rihlah’s approach to Umrah and ziyarah puts meaning first: private, unhurried, and explained, with the practical side handled correctly in the background so that your attention can stay where it belongs.

Private Umrah
A private Umrah means your own guide, your own pace and your own schedule. The rites are explained as you go — the ihram and its intention, the tawaf, the sa’i, and the acts that complete the Umrah — so that the pilgrimage is understood as well as performed. For first-time pilgrims this removes anxiety; for returning ones, it adds depth.
Umrah paired with the Seerah
Umrah gains a great deal when it is set within the story of the place. Paired with the ziyarah in Madinah and time in Makkah and Madinah, the pilgrimage becomes part of a larger journey through the life of the Prophet ﷺ and the birth of the Muslim community.

Ziyarah
Ziyarah — visiting the historic mosques and sites of the holy land — is done with context and adab. Rather than a quick circuit, it is an opportunity to understand the places and their significance, guided by someone who can explain both the history and the etiquette of visiting.
Hajj assistance
For those preparing for Hajj, we provide support and preparation through licensed operators. Hajj is more tightly regulated and quota-bound than Umrah, so early planning and the right partners matter; we help you navigate the process rather than leaving you to it.

Arranged correctly, through Nusuk
Umrah and Hajj in Saudi Arabia are closely regulated. Rihlah works in partnership with operators licensed by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, and arrangements are made through the official Nusuk platform — including the permits now required to enter the Mataf and to access the Rawdah. If you would like to understand how the visa and permit system works, our guide Umrah Visa & Nusuk Permits Explained walks through it in plain terms.
Woven into a wider journey
Umrah and ziyarah sit at the centre of the journey to Makkah and Madinah, and can be combined with Arabic and Seerah learning so that you return knowing more than when you left. Our journeys suit first-time pilgrims who want the rites explained rather than rushed, returning visitors who want to go deeper, and families who want the experience shaped around them. When you are ready, plan your journey and tell us how you would like to travel.
Choosing between Umrah packages
Most Umrah packages are sold on price and hotel distance alone. We think that misses the point. When comparing Umrah packages, ask who is guiding you, how many pilgrims share that guide, whether the rites will be explained as you perform them, and whether the schedule leaves room for worship rather than a coach timetable. Those questions matter more on the ground than a star rating.
What makes our Umrah packages different
Many Umrah packages are built around efficiency: get pilgrims in, through the rites, and out. That has its place, but something is lost when the pilgrimage becomes a schedule. A Rihlah Umrah is built around understanding instead — the same rites, performed unhurried, with their meaning opened up as you go. The difference is not luxury; it is depth.
The value of a knowledgeable guide
Having a guide who knows the fiqh, the history and the significance of each act changes the experience entirely. Questions can be answered as they arise; the intention behind each rite is made clear; and the reflective moments between the rites are given their due. For a first-time pilgrim this brings reassurance; for a returning one, new layers of meaning.
Ziyarah, done properly
Ziyarah is too often reduced to a rushed circuit of sites. Done properly, it is an opportunity to understand the history of the holy land and to visit its places with the right adab. We take the time to explain what each site is, why it matters, and how to visit it respectfully — turning a checklist into an education.
Planning and timing
When you go shapes the experience. Ramadan carries immense reward but also the greatest crowds and cost; the months after Hajj are quietest. Because Umrah requirements now run through the Nusuk platform, early planning matters more than it once did. Our guide to Umrah visas and Nusuk permits explains the current process, and we handle it for you through licensed operators.
For first-timers and returning pilgrims alike
Whether this is your first Umrah or your tenth, the journey is shaped around you — your pace, your questions, and your intentions. Combined with the ziyarah in Madinah and time in Makkah and Madinah, it becomes not just a rite performed, but a journey understood.
Answers to common questions
Travellers preparing for Umrah often have practical questions, and we are always happy to talk them through. The most common concern the visa and permit process — which now runs through the Nusuk platform — the best time to travel, and how to combine the pilgrimage with time for the Seerah and the holy cities. We handle the arrangements through licensed operators and advise you clearly on the rest.
First Umrah, or your tenth
For a first Umrah, the value of a knowledgeable guide is hard to overstate: the rites are explained, the anxiety removed, and the meaning kept in view throughout. For returning pilgrims, the same guiding opens new layers — details of history and significance that a busier, package-style trip leaves no room for. Either way, the journey is private and shaped around you.
Begin with a conversation
Every Umrah journey begins with understanding what you are looking for — the timing, the pace, and how much you would like to weave in the Seerah and ziyarah. Combined with the ziyarah in Madinah and time in Makkah and Madinah, it becomes a journey understood as well as performed. When you are ready, plan your journey and tell us how you would like to travel.
